The Bethesda-Chevy Chase (“B-CC”) Youth Wrestling Club is a wrestling club for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 (no high school students).  The B-CC Youth Wrestling Club is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation, and is chartered by USA Wrestling. The wrestling season runs from mid-November through February.
 

 

Recreation Teams
The B-CC Youth Wrestling Club's Recreation Teams will compete weekly in the Top of the Podium's (TOP) Winter Wrestling Series. Weekly competitions are not mandatory, but highly encouraged.

This year we will have a Junior Rec Team (0-3 years experience, but not yet in 6th+ grade) that will practice at B-CC HS. The Senior Rec Team (2+ years of experience, but not yet an 8th grader or athletic 7th grader) will practice at Georgetown Prep. Both teams will practice on Mondays & Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8pm starting November 13.

Travel Team

The Travel Teams consist of experienced wrestlers who have surpassed the skill level of the recreational league and have demonstrated a readiness for more advanced training and competition. We will also include 8th graders and athletic 7th graders. 

 

This team will compete primarily at Top of the Podium (TOP), though we do compete in tournaments throughout the State and region. Travel will practice on Mondays and Thursdays at Georgetown Prep, and on Wednesdays at B-CC HS. Practices run from 6:30pm to 8pm starting November 13.

If you have a new wrestler joining this club or have a rec wrestler in the club who wants to bump up, please speak with a coach before registering as we want to make sure that we place the kids on the most appropriate teams.

Registration for returning wrestlers and their siblings is opens on September 15, 2023. Registration for new wrestlers opens on September 25, 2023.
